A calm, simple daily ritual for your gut: four active ingredients, built around Lion’s Mane mushroom.
Lion’s Mane, plus more
Lion’s Mane is an edible mushroom that has been used in traditional Asian practice for centuries. We’ve paired it with three familiar digestive ingredients: ginger, prune and aloe vera. It’s one easy step in your day, with no artificial additives.
What’s inside
- Fruiting body extract: the mushroom itself, not mycelium grown on grain
- 500mg extract per capsule, equivalent to 5,000mg of fruiting body
- Made in the UK to GMP standards, with independent ingredient analysis
- Vegan and allergen-free
Why it works together
- Lion’s Mane – a concentrated fruiting body extract, naturally rich in polysaccharides (see “The science bit” below)
- Ginger – traditionally used to support digestion
- Prune – a well-known natural choice for keeping things regular
- Aloe vera – traditionally used for digestive comfort
- Clean and simple – a natural rice blend in place of artificial flow agents and fillers, in a plant-based capsule
Who it’s for
- Busy people with busy routines
- Gut-health conscious
- The Lion’s Mane curious
How to use
Take two to three capsules daily, preferably with food.
If you are particularly sensitive to supplements, you may prefer to start more slowly: begin with 1 capsule every other day, then increase to 1 capsule daily as tolerated. You can remain at this dose if it works well for you, or gradually build up towards the standard dose if needed.
Make it part of your morning or wind-down routine, whatever feels easiest.
The science bit
What are polysaccharides?
Polysaccharides are a type of complex carbohydrate found naturally in plants and mushrooms, including Lion’s Mane. Unlike simple sugars, many aren’t broken down in the stomach. Instead, they travel through to the large intestine, where your gut bacteria live.
Why the interest?
Scientists are increasingly exploring how the gut microbiome (the trillions of bacteria in your digestive system) interacts with what we eat. Mushroom polysaccharides are one area being studied as part of that research.
Why the fruiting body matters
Many Lion’s Mane products use mycelium grown on grain, which can contain a lot of the grain itself. We use an extract of the fruiting body, the mushroom itself, so you get 500mg of extract per capsule, equivalent to 5,000mg of fruiting body.
